What Style Is Your Brand’s Voice?

What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your brand? A logo? Colors? Core values?

What about the words you use to tell the world who you are, what you do, and why you do it?

Your brand's voice (what you say and how you say it) MUST align with your actions and promote your brand. If it doesn't, or if it's inconsistent, your brand is more likely to be viewed as unprofessional at best and untrustworthy at worst.

But unless you’re a marketer or writer it can be challenging to know what your brand’s voice really is, or should be, or how exactly to write your content so it sounds like what you want.

Luckily, we have an easy starting point.

After years of developing voice styles for a variety of brands, we’ve discovered there are four Brand Voice Archetypes, or categories, that most fall within:

  1. The Elegant Intellectual

  2. Everyone’s Hero

  3. The Industry Expert

  4. The Laid-Back Game-Changer

Each one is effective and engaging, but they require different approaches to language and the words you use.

Ready to find out which one resonates with your brand and actionabe tips for bringing your brand voice to life? Then click below to download the 4 Brand Archetypes guide!

And if you’d like expert support in developing your brand’s voice, including creating a comprehensive style guide that your whole team can use, we’re here for you. Contact Us.
